Sauce up your life

For the more puritanical designers, a good design is a practical answer to a problem. To me, this is a very narrow definition of design: it means that a valuable piece of design should be able to do something that couldn't be done otherwise. The most economic solution is the best design.

But take this condiment gun, for instance. It is so ridiculously useless, there are way more practical ways to squeeze some sauce on your burger. This would render it useless, in the eyes of many. But look at it! If there's ever been a brilliantly funny piece of design, this is probably it!
