Taller de Arquitectura - Ricardo Bofill

in 1973, Ricardo Bofill stumbled upon a cement factory that was not longer in use, and decided to make it into the office for his architectural studio Taller de Arquitectura. The complex was fitted with dwellings, offices, parks and more, scattered around the area. It is a rather surreal looking place, in which the factory serves as the starting point for transformations, metamorphosis and scenaric spaces. From the existing structures, the sculptural concrete forms were kept intact.
And the result? Wether it´s a vast space containing nothing, huge girders crossing, gardens in industrial area, this place seems to be the postmodern version of Piranesi´s drawings.
