Some people take the proverbial "size doesn't matter" too litteral, I believe. For instance, Helenita from Madre de Deus (Brasil) lives in this ridiculously narrow house. It is about one metre wide, and ten metres high - giving it quite a remarkable physical appearance.
I'm not too sure about the truth of all this (for instance, the interior of her kitchen below looks quite a bit wider than one metre - or she must be a very tiny midget), but the idea of the building is interesting, and the image is more than stunning.

Nou ze zal wel een very tiny midget moeten zijn, om daar te kunnen wonen. Maar een paar clicks verder (bij de source van jouw source) vond ik een foto waar ze echter weer verdacht veel op een huge brazilian giant lijkt...(http://www.neatorama.com/2007/03/10/living-in-a-really-narrow-house/).....misschien is hier toch een grote vriendelijke photoshopper aan het werk geweest.
